Razorbacks Cut Down Number 1
Arkansas Snaps No. 1 Auburn’s 19-Game Win Streak (80-76, OT)
Another No. 1 has fallen! Auburn tumbled on Tuesday after multiple weeks atop the NCAA basketball rankings. The Tigers were upset by unranked Arkansas in an overtime thriller that went down to the wire. Razorbacks’ senior J.D. Notae poured in a game-high 28 points, including a go-ahead 3 in OT before Arkansas closed the door and stormed the court at Bud Walton Arena. Auburn had ridden a 19-game win streak to their first No. 1 ranking in program history, but a new No. 1 awaits next week — likely #2 Gonzaga or #3 Purdue.
